About
The journey, the purpose, and the heart behind everything I do.
Hi, I am Ìgbàyílólá.
From as early as I can remember, I have always asked questions. Not to rebel. But because certain things just never sat right with me. I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't fair, even before I had the words to name it. Why were my brothers never taught to cook or clean the house the way I was? Why did I keep hearing "Is this how you'll behave in your husband's house?" even when I was simply being myself?
It took growing up to understand that these were not random comments. I was born into a patriarchal society. And over time I began to clearly see how women from a very early age are expected to shrink, adjust, endure, and sacrifice in ways that young men are never even asked to consider.
That realisation did not make me bitter. It made me purposeful. It planted a deep desire to be part of the change. To contribute my voice, my time, and my efforts toward helping more women navigate life on their own terms.
From my teenage years, I found myself volunteering for causes centred on women's growth and freedom. I wanted to listen, to support, to uplift and to help other women unlearn the lies we were told about who we are and what we deserve.
That eventually led me to founding Her Future Path and to writing about the realities Nigerian women and girls face.
I do not have all the answers. But I know how to show up. And I know how to use my voice for myself and for women like me who are still learning how to bloom in a world that often expects them to shrink.
Beyond the Work
I am endlessly curious about people and the world they come from. I love to travel and am fascinated by different cultures, especially the history behind their cuisines.
I still ask questions. I probably always will. The difference now is that I have stopped waiting for someone else to answer them.
My Core Values
These principles guide everything I do
Authenticity
Be true to who you are. Your story, your voice, your journey — they all matter.
Courage
Step outside your comfort zone. Growth happens when you dare to begin.
Service
Use your gifts to uplift others. True leadership is about serving and empowering.
Excellence
Give your best in everything. Not perfection, but consistent, intentional effort.
